As part of the 13th Process Manager (PzM) Summit, the host organization Gesellschaft für Prozessmanagement conveyed its inaugural Process Award to the year’s best process manager.
Christof Wurm, Director of Quality and Process Management at Böhler Edelstahl, was announced as the winner at a ceremony on 25 November at the Austria Center Vienna. The award’s criteria include sustained excellence and process efficiency. The GPard trophy conveyed with the Process Award went this year for the first time to the best process manager, instead of the best process.
Böhler Edelstahl earned the Best Process award in 2013 as well The Styrian company had earned the Gesellschaft für Prozessmanagement’s award for the best process in 2013 as well. An external firm, evaluating based on ISO 15504, had rated the company’s process for “Product Manufacturing Blooming and Roughing Mill”. The jury awarded the quality and process management at Böhler Edelstahl a “maturity grade” of 5, the highest possible mark.
